At Farmfestival welcoming families and ensuring they have a thoroughly good time has always been important to us. Each year we have a wide range of activities for all ages, and this year is no different with a magician, story teller, traditional Punch and Judy, jugglers, face painting, crazy golf, eco rides and a big creative arts project all thrown in to the mixer.

On Friday the Arts Tent will see magician Richard Ballinger entertaining us with his wizardry tricks during a magic show in the evening. Friday afternoon (3-6pm) the tent will also be host to the first of two creative arts projects where the kiddies will be encouraged to come along and turn recycled materials into their favourite real or imaginary animals. We will be using papier mache, collage and paints. Please bring along any old cardboard boxes - big or small, and newspaper, and get involved! Remember to wear an old shirt or clothes that you don't mind getting messy. (Seems like standard festival gear to me then!) The second round of the project will take place on Saturday afternoon 12-3pm.

Saturday will kick off with Professor Gary Wilson's traditional Punch and Judy show, which was a huge hit with young and old last year. And storytelling and yarn spinning will be taking place in the Arts Tent on Saturday afternoon.
The highlight of the Arts Tent each year is the judging of the Best Hat competition. Since the first Farmfestival in 2006 it has been compulsory to wear some form of head accessory and each year we have had some amazing hat creations. On Saturday at 4pm in the Arts Tent, our panel of head adornment experts will be judging this year's competition. The winners will win the staggeringly amazing prize of free tickets to Farmfestival 2012. So get down there in your best head couture!
